Data & Voice Cabling – Fibre Optic Cabling

Fibre-optic communication is a method of transmitting information from one place to another by sending pulses of light through an optical fibre.

The choice between optical fibre and electrical (or copper) transmission for a particular system is made based on a number of tradeoffs. Optical fibre is generally chosen for systems requiring higher bandwidth or spanning longer distances than electrical cabling can accommodate.

Another benefit of fibre is that even when run alongside each other for long distances, fibre cables experience effectively no crosstalk, in contrast to some types of electrical transmission lines.

Azura can carry out all aspects of installation, termination, direct “pot and polish” or fusion spliced, on both single and multimode fibres.
